Position & Perks:
The Social/Digital Marketing Manager serves as the brand advocate in social media spaces, promotes innovative approaches and technology to optimize social media presence, brand awareness, and consumer engagement. Their main goal is to promote Sola Salons brand awareness to both beauty professionals and their end clients. We also have secondary goals of showcasing our community environment and promoting our Sola Professionals’ businesses.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and execute comprehensive social media strategy that utilizes social/digital marketing techniques to increase visibility and traffic and provides connection to all other marketing touch points across all platforms.
  • Manage and monitor daily activity across social networks such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, GoogleMyBusiness, etc. to ensure steady flow of fresh content and an interactive social presence.
  • Monitor, listen and engage with consumers across all social media platforms.
  • Grow fan bases, followers, posts, user content, and in general create an engaging, positive experience on all interactive channels.
  • Partner with Operations Managers to plan and execute community connection and promotional activities.
  • Ensure concept integrity and consistency in all local messaging and promotions.
  • Create and coordinate social media content development, messaging and campaigns with other communications projects and the events calendar – including location visits for content generation.
  • Maintain all company websites (internal and external) and social networking platforms to ensure accuracy and fresh content.
  • Oversee day-to-day maintenance and growth of all digital properties. Partner with cross functional teams to ensure all online content is fresh, relevant and in alignment with brand standards
  • Participate in cross functional teams and partner with functional leaders to develop integrated plans to maximize social/digital presence and integration.
  • Maximize content visibility through SEO/SEM and utilization of landing pages, conversion tags, etc.
  • Stay current with industry trends in web-based/digital media technologies providing innovative and creative solutions.
  • Measure, analyze and create reporting for social media analytics and provide insight and solutions to increase growth and id trends that can be translated into actionable online and offline initiatives to build consumer engagement.
  • Monitor franchisor’s social media channels and serve as liaison.
  • Audit social media presence of competitors and social media leaders to identify trends, best practices and promote innovation, and new market opportunities.
  • Coordinate print and digital ads
  • Source, develop and support community connections and partnerships with local businesses, beauty schools, product distributors, etc.
  • Assistance with photoshoots and local events (involves some nights and weekends)
  • Asset Management
  • Participate in cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Partner with Managers to create communication systems that best reach and engage our team members.
  • Attend weekly virtual meetings with the Regional Manager, and monthly in-person meetings with the entire team
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated love of social media established as a heavy user and early adopter for new social media platforms.
  • Skilled networker and collaborator – on and off-line.
  • Strong familiarity with all major forms of social media.
  • Working knowledge of social media listening and reporting tool utilization.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Clear understanding of the interaction between strategy, content and audience management.
  • Working knowledge of SEO and SEM.
  • Ability to ID trends, analyze tracking and metrics to determine ROI and effectiveness.
  • Basic understanding of content management systems and applications.
  • Working knowledge of email analytic applications, customer management software, and other business intelligence tools with the ability to “read the data” and make recommendations and adjustments as needed.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with an ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to think on feet, anticipate issues and develop plans for addressing them on the fly.
  • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule which would include some nights and weekends
  • Demonstrated understanding of brand management and maintaining a consistent voice.
  • Strong Social Networking presence, influence and know how.
  • Operating knowledge and experience with Google apps (Drive, etc.)
    • Demonstrable social and digital media experience.
    • Preferred:
      • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field a plus.
      • Social Media, Mobile and Digital certifications a plus.
      • Possession of a valid driver’s license a plus
      • Graphic design abilities a plus
    Experience with the beauty industry a plus
