An aerospace client is looking for a Software Engineer 2 who will design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

Location: Linthicum, MD 21090

Position: Software Engineer 2

Pay Rate: $58.56/hr on W2

Duration: 12 months or longer

Responsibilities:

• Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
• Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
• Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications:

• US Citizenship required
• C/C++, Linux, GCC, Git
• Ability to assimilate new concepts quickly and independently
• Must have an active SECRET Clearance - Ability to obtain program SAP
• Work is onsite in the Baltimore, MD campus (No remote work)

Preferred Qualifications:

• GitLab CI/CD, DevSecOps, Docker, Clang
• OMS experience
• Strong professional written and oral communication skills
• Agile (Scrum-based) execution experience
