Relative Dynamics is in search for a Satellite Ground System Control Engineer to work on the SWFO SAN Program for National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to help develop enhance and maintain software on cutting edge space products and systems. This position is located in the Metro DC area.

What You'll Do:

  • The systems the engineer will be working on are focused on Communications Ground and Space Systems. You will work on an agile development team primarily using C C++ Tcl and Groovy programming languages
  • Perform all phases of the software development cycle including design development integration and test
  • Effective participation in cross-functional scrum teams design reviews and other reviews as required
  • You will actively participate in technical peer-reviews to ensure system/software requirements are being met from an end-to-end system point of view
  • Individuals must be self-starters and able to efficiently operate in a team environment

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline preferably aerospace electrical or mechanical engineering
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in designing and developing requirements and test procedures and approaches
  • Experience developing in C C++ Tcl and Groovy programming languages
  • Experience developing in a Windows environment
  • Experience in Agile Process
  • AGI STK OS/COMET and/or MaxView experience
  • Knowledge of building graphical user interfaces (GUIs)
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic complex security environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office
  • Professionalism and customer service
  • Travel: 10-15% travel is required
