ATX Solar is looking for a full-time solar installer to join our installation team and grow with us. This is a unique chance to jump in on the ground floor of an up-and-coming startup. This is a dynamic position with unmatched potential and upward mobility as we grow.

Previous Solar Experience is preferred, but not required. On-site training provided.

Overview

The Installer position is a contributing member of a solar installation construction crew. The installers works as a team with the lead installer to complete residential solar installation projects.

Responsibilities

• Review inventory at warehouse to ensure installation trucks/ trailers are stocked adequately
• Perform Site Surveys / roof measurements accurately
• Completes layout and assembles solar modules, mechanical and structural mounts, electrical equipment and tools in preparation of installation
• Assist with mounting and installation of solar modules, inverters, and equipment
• Apply weather sealing to roofing structure, building or support mechanisms
• Assembles the racking, solar modules, panels or support structures as specified in the project plan
• Ensures a clean and orderly job site
• Performs project clean up including client site and installation vehicles / trailers
• Adhere to safety protocols at all times
• Participate in mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safety
• Some overnight travel may be required (less than 5%)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous solar, construction or electrical experience preferred, but not required
• Adheres to company safety policies and procedures
• Ability to interact with customers and coworkers in a courteous and professional manner
• Capable of meeting deadlines and installation key metrics
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision, as well as within team-based environments
• Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)
• Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces which requires frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balance
• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to: excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environment, and humidity
• Ability to work and maintain balance on roofs and other areas of height
