No Call. No major holidays. No weekends

We are expanding our RVT team by seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Vascular Technologist to work part-time in our IAC accredited vascular lab. Our ideal candidate is energetic, positive, has strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, and holds themselves to a higher level of patient care. Must be organized, able to adhere to protocol, and present themselves in a professional manner.

Our RVT team works with our Stanford-trained physicians, Dr. Bradley Hill and Dr. Tej Singh. Together, our providers offer over 40 years of vascular surgery experience and dedicated service to patients in the South Bay and on the Peninsula.

PAY SCALE BEGINS AT $60/hour for new grad and increases with experience.

Position Summary:

The Sonographer is a key member of the vascular practice who helps provide an atmosphere of compassionate and quality care to patients and their families. The Sonographers role is to provide high quality diagnostic images to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with peripheral vascular disease. Professionally collaborates with the medical and office team members to provide the patient with a positive experience. Adheres to all policies related to PHI and HIPAA privacy practices.

Working Conditions:

· Hourly, as needed

· Moderate physical effort required, frequent lifting of patients, medical equipment and supplies

· Moderate computer and phone usage

· Frequent walking throughout clinic locations

· Frequent standing for long periods of time

· Frequent talking

· Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling

· Occasionally exposed to loud noise

Qualifications:

· Highest level of education required: Associates Degree

· One year of experience in vascular ultrasound imaging: Preferred

· Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR)

· Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

· ARDMS, Abdominal and RVT or CCI registered in Vascular sonography Echo/Vascular: Preferred

· In good physical and mental health

· Detail oriented, thorough and exact

· Good understand of vascular disease

· Strong communication skills

Specific Duties:

· Performs ultrasound examinations of the heart and peripheral vascular system in accordance with established protocols

· Prepare patients for exam by explaining procedure, assisting, if necessary, in transferring patient to ultrasound table, and positioning patient properly

· Review patient medical history and supporting clinical information, verify accuracy of diagnostic order(s)

· Document ultrasound findings and communicate them to medical staff in accordance with protocols

· Ensures ultrasound equipment is clean, maintained, and in good working order

· Manage supplies and stock room as needed

· Maintain a clean and orderly exam/procedure rooms, common areas and workspace

· Adheres to applicable professional and ethical standards

· Provide compassionate, professional patient care and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment

· Provide continuity of care while communicating in a professional manner with all team members

· Other duties as assigned by leadership and supervisory staff

Pay is DOE, starting at $60/hour for recent graduate level sonographers. Pay scale raises as dictated by experience and years of RVT work.
