Our ambition is to transform meter data into insights that can help utilities optimize the production and distribution of clean water and energy.

We are expanding our Sourcing department and are therefore looking for a Sourcing Manager to join our team. With direct reference to our US Operations Manager and a reference to our Head of Direct Sourcing, you will become a part of the Direct Sourcing team consisting of 11 inspiring, skilled, and ambitious colleagues. Together this team will lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies across all the categories for direct components in Kamstrup.

A job with focus on Sourcing, Contracting and Supplier Management

As our new Sourcing Manager, you will become a vital part of the global team that handles the supply base for both components for Manufacturing as well as other goods and services for our products. In close collaboration with colleagues both in Denmark and in US, you will handle a variety of suppliers in the US region, this includes sourcing of new suppliers and development of current Supply base, contracting, negotiation and stakeholder management all with focus of bringing as much value for Kamstrup as possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the regional Sourcing team and ensure alignment with the global team.
• Execute sourcing activities including price and contract negotiation.
• Execute supplier capacity assurance in line with Kamstrup’s Sales & Operations Planning.
• Deliver value to Kamstrup based upon a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) perspective, including focus on quality and lowering any supply risk that might arise.
• Identify and execute a savings pipeline together with your stakeholders.
• Analyze and identify new supplier options.
• Execute strong stakeholder management skills, externally as well as internally.

We also expect you to contribute to the team with learnings, knowledge sharing, feedback, and best practices experience, and equally be willing to learn and to receive feedback.

PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND EDUCATION

• Academic background within business, engineering, IT or similar field, or 5 years minimum experience in Sourcing or similar field in lieu of a degree.
• Independent, results oriented professional who can contribute to the continued success of Kamstrup through great business understanding and drive.
• Proactively and consistently seeking new information to challenge the status quo.
• Stakeholder management with great interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization as well as with external partners.
• Structured, persistent, well organized, and disciplined with the capacity to prioritize tasks.

• Ability to expertly read, write and speak English.
