The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health in Greer, SC is currently hiring two Psychiatrist to join our strong team.
The new additions to our group of Psychiatrists will preferably specialize in General Adult Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry or Addiction Psychiatry to provide coverage for our Adult Inpatient units. A fully staffed support team is ready to assist the new Physician in meeting the unique Psychiatric needs of patients on the units.
Duties of the position will include admission evaluations, treatment team leadership, discharge summaries and daily care of patients. There is very light shared weekdays and weekend call.
The compensation structure can be that of an employed physician with salary and benefits or if preferred an independent contractor with reimbursement for patient contacts. Full-time and Part-time roles are available.
Education, Training & Experience (includes licenses or certifications).
- MD/DO degree from an accredited program required
- Board certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry required
- Licensed to practice in the State of South Carolina or ability to obtain a SC medical license.
- Minimum of four years of training/practice experience
- Inpatient experience preferred
- Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians

The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health provides teens, adults, and senior adults with comprehensive treatment for a range of psychiatric and substance use disorders. We also offer integrated programs to address the needs of patients with dual-diagnosis (or co-occurring disorders).
Our programs are available at various levels of care to accommodate the severity of every patient’s condition: inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient treatment. Our Brain Stimulation Center includes a robust ECT and TMS program.
The facility is a growing 156-bed private behavioral health system located on 13 acres in Greer, South Carolina. Specializing in psychiatric programs and substance abuse treatments such as detox and rehab, The Carolina Center serves Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, and areas throughout South Carolina and western North Carolina. Our facility is conveniently accessible from Interstate 85 at Highway 14 (exit 56).
