Job Title: Spa Front Desk Department: The Spa
Reports To: Spa Manager
SUMMARY
The Spa Receptionist is responsible for productive, efficient and smooth day to day Spa operations ensuring exceptional customer service and total guest satisfaction by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Properly schedules spa services using appointment book, ensuring treatments are booked with appropriate therapists, guest requests as to gender or specific therapist are noted, all necessary information is gathered (i.e. name, address, phone, credit card).
Educates guests at time of booking regarding spa operations, services and polices, (i.e. cancellation, cell phone, and pool/Jacuzzi policies).
Answers phones quickly and checks voice mail periodically.
Sells spa services
Upgrades spa services
Sells retail products; Communicates with therapists regarding products they may have suggested to guests
Calculates guest payments correctly; uses POS system and cash drawer correctly
Clearly communicates schedules to spa providers.
Ensures spa cleanliness by communicating with spa attendant/housekeeper.
Maintains accurate daily financial transactions and records.
Provides exceptional guest service.
Completes reports as requested by Spa manager.
Other duties as assigned by manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum two years experience in a customer service, retail or related position or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Knowledge of basic accounting principals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook and be able to effectively navigate the internet, and some experience working with a POS system (i.e. Micros) and Spa booking software (i.e. Spa Soft).

The employee must occasionally bend, stoop, squat, reach and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (i.e. moving portable massage tables, carrying product, moving product boxes).
