The Marketing Communications Specialist analyzes marketing and promotional needs, and designs and implements marketing communications strategies that support organizational objectives. This role is a key player in driving fiber expansion and is responsible for launch marketing activity and activation in new fiber broadband markets. This role works cross-functionally to launch and grow the company’s fiber in new markets. Key performance indicators include achieving launch penetration targets, average revenue per unit (ARPU), and achieving revenue goals.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Owns go-to-market (GTM) strategy, planning introduction, launch, and execution of new fiber to the home (FTTH) markets.
  • Drafts marketing communications to create awareness of fiber in new markets, including social media management, email campaigns, direct mail, promotional publications, presentations, advertisements, brochures, and other marketing tactics.
  • Reviews and edits messages to ensure that they are clear, thorough, on-brand, and effective.
  • Suggests ways of tailoring messages and delivery channels based on the targeted audience.
  • Drives, collects data on, and closely monitors the performance of specific communications or campaigns, including pre-registration sign ups and pre-drop conversions.
  • Works with local stakeholders to understand competitive landscape and to identify local GTM opportunities.
  • Collaborates with sales and marketing team to implement GTM strategy.
  • Builds, tracks, and grows sales funnel across all fiber markets.
  • Monitors launch status and reports milestones to support penetration targets in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Optimizes fiber launch strategies and documents launch timelines and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, or related field and minimum of 3 years of marketing or project management experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
  • Demonstrated success coordinating and launching products and/or services.
  • Detail oriented with superb organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize, think strategically, and work cross-functionally.
  • Experience in interacting with and engaging diverse operational groups.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required; Google Earth preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Employee remains in the sitting position for prolonged hours. Employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Working conditions may include being in an open (shared) cubicle/workspace area.
