Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Spot Welder with experience in steel and aluminum, in partnership with a prominent client in Binghamton NY within the machining / fabrication industry
Welder Job Summary
Uses Spot welding to assemble fabricated metal products in accordance to the job order, instructions and customer specifications. Experience in steel and aluminum.
Pay: $17 per hour
1st: 7am - 3:30pm
- Set spot welds to the correct heat, tip and AC forge
- Utilize the correct tools for the job
- Perform tasks required to the drawing specifications
- Change and dress electrodes
- Sanding
- Knowledge of rig equipment
- Ensure proper safety and handling of materials to prevent injury
- Complete self inspections during the process to ensure quality
- Complete routine maintenance of their equipment and check the quality of all finished pieces
- Proficient in basic shop math
- Ability to read blue prints, drawings, verbal directions, and sketches
- 2 years setting up and operating resistance welders
Assembler Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2-3 yeas of Spot Welding
- Understanding and knowledge of power tools
- Troubleshooting and problem solving
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work within a team
- Positive and self motivated
