The Sr Data Analyst builds relational data models, interprets enterprise data, and converts it to information, so the key stakeholders can improve their decision making with knowledge and insight. You will work with industry leading applications to gather requirements for an agile team, implement solutions to high visibility projects, and visualize and design metrics at an enterprise scale.

Responsibilities:

• Collect data. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends, patterns, and relationships in complex data sets. Provide accurate and appropriate interpretation of data, using timely and appropriate participation of users/customers in data collection and query systems
• Facilitate satisfactory communication and resolution of problems through stakeholder reporting and collaboration. Communicate regularly and effectively with team members, customers, and management.
• Deliver data products in report/presentation format, or verbally, according to customer specifications and timelines.
• Work with customers and executive leadership to prioritize business and information needs. Develop awareness of and familiarity with issues and events affecting organization, department, and/or customer. Develop useful and insightful information from a variety of data sources.
• Develop and implement advanced data analysis, data analytics and solutions that support the business needs. Create programs, methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting data. Develop appropriate methodologies for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data products.
• Define, articulate, and create solutions that help make data interpretation and relationship identification manageable across many different data sources. Define new data collection and analysis processes.
• Locate and define continuous improvement opportunities. Point out system or process problems when noticed and engage team in problem solving. Use a variety of techniques, such as data modeling, to design computer systems and improve processes and data flows.
• Test and analyze data trends to increase system performance and efficiency. Examine data quality, applications, and functions to improve product delivery and presentation and enable new product development.
• Mentor and train less experienced Data Analysts.
• Define, or participate in the definition of, standards for which the team and/or organization will leverage to drive consistency, improve accuracy, and support the reuse of data.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Course of Study: Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Information Management, or Supply Chain Management

Experience: 6 - 9 years of experience in data models and reporting packages

• The ability to create user stories/use cases is preferred. Documentation skill for business and data requirements with specific attention to detail.
• Must have the ability to multi-task under time constraints and set priorities and accomplish duties with little direct supervision.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) framework
• Skill in queries, report writing and presenting findings. Ability to write comprehensive reports.
• Technical knowledge regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
• Proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Power Query M, dimensional models, and star schema.
• Understanding of machine learning, data mining and experience in algorithmic program development and coding.
• Proven experience as a BI developer with end-to-end development using industry leading data visualization tools. Experience in Power BI and Power Platform strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets.
• Candidates with knowledge of TMW, OTM, and Blue Yonder and similar transportation and warehouse management systems are strongly preferred.
