This Sr. Healthcare Financial Analyst uses data and analytics to drive business results; leverage internal and external information to identify quantifiable and actionable opportunities for the business unit and is responsible for reporting, monitoring, analyzing data and trends, and communicating these business results across various audiences and partnering on strategic initiatives to ensure optimal outcomes. What you’ll do

  • Serve as the analytical liaison to Sales Operations, Marketing, and Finance to expand the market footprint for key-growth areas.
  • Build analytical and strategic frameworks that size business opportunities and define success metrics to inform decision making and strategic planning.
  • Analyze healthcare data (e.g. claims data and EMR data) and healthcare trends to establish benchmarks and KPI targets.
  • Partner with data team to develop backend data sources that fuel reporting and query optimization.
  • Prepare and analyze financial results to provide financial counsel to division leadership
  • Create and track meaningful KPIs through quantitative analysis that inform business decisions and improve priorities which maximize value creation.
  • Develop and build financial models and tools to inform business decisions.
  • Aide in accurately budgeting and forecasting financial outcomes.
  • Provide analyses and reports to aide decision making based on data, facts, and analytical findings across different parts of the organization.
  • Actively promote a culture supportive of growth and inclusion.

What you’ll need

  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare industry (medical economics preferred).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel analysis and modeling skills
  • SQL experience
  • Understanding and ability to interpret key drivers of health care trends (e.g., medical cost trends, utilization, etc.), clinical program performance, and potential opportunities for medical cost reduction or program improvement
  • Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders
  • Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Finance, Healthcare Management, or related degree
  • Preferred: Experience with SQL, SAS, and/or other coding/statistical programs
  • Preferred: Experience utilizing risk scores, HCC, DRGs, ICD-10, CPT to analyze population health/disease burden
