Basic Responsibilities
The Sr Software Quality Assurance Tester is part of a dynamic team ensuring District IT solutions meet high quality standards in a complex technical environment and works closely with business and IT staff across a variety of roles such as project management, architecture, development, configuration, business and systems analysis.
Provides quality assurance (QA) leadership to project teams, oversees the testing strategy, defines the testing approach, and is responsible for ensuring quality on assigned projects. Analyzes system requirements, creates test data and test plans, establishes metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes as required. Provides work direction, mentorship, and coaching to project team members.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field OR the equivalent combination of related education and work experience; and,
• 3 years progressively more responsible experience in Quality Assurance including Functional Testing, Regression Testing & Integration Testing, including 3 years of experience in each of the following tools and technologies:Deploying and/or supporting test management and ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) solutions

Experience in Visual Basic scripting or any modern programming language like C#, Java
Experience in SQL query report development

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Testim automation tool
• Expertise with Unified Functional Testing (UFT) and/or as it was previously known Quick Test Professional (QTP)
• Database management knowledge of HANA or SQL Server
• Microfocus ALM administration, Reporting and Test management
• Experience with load testing tools like Jmeter, Gatling
