Summary Description
Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepares financial reports.
Essential Functions
- Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions
- Monitors compliance with accounting principles and company procedures
- Prepares and/or participates in various account reconciliations (general ledger, internal DDA, etc.)
- Prepares and/or participates in preparation of regulatory reports.
- Prepares and/or participates in the preparation of supporting schedules and footnotes for external financial reports
- Reviews, investigates and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports
- Maintain, and update as necessary, the Company’s real and personal property tax records
- Assist in the maintenance of various databases maintained by the Company
- Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of accounting experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree
- Work is generally performed indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
- Typically, the employee may sit to perform the work. However, there may be some standing, walking, bending and carrying of light items in the course of the work
Critical Skills / Expertise
- Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office products (Excel skills must be strong)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well independently
- Ability to maintain confidential information
