The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing accounting and monthly reporting functions including those detailed in the below summary of job responsibilities.
Summary of Key Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate distribution of monthly financial reports.
Assist in coding, preparing, and posting journal entries and reconcile prepaid expenses.
Analyze monthly utility expense, record accruals, and reconcile utilities.
Prepare monthly accruals related to various expense accounts as assigned.
Prepare annual budgets for various P&L lines.
Reconcile and analyze various G/L accounts.
Provide support for quarterly and annual audits.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in accounting preferred, however, 3-5 years Corporate Accounting experience would be considered
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel is required. Oracle (Peoplesoft) preferred.
- Experience with restaurants a plus.
