Start-up Event Manager

The Role
You will play a major role in the planning and production of all key in-person, digital, and hybrid activities in each Accelerator Cohort of Founderie participants, mentors, and guests. The Startup Event Manager will help deliver best in class experiences, supporting our rapidly growing team. Emerging Technologies and Societal Advancements including crypto, blockchain, defi, AI, quantum computing, AR/VR and the metaverse.

This role underpins all synchronous events through each Founderie cohort as well as other Founderie internal and external events (e.g., engagements with external start-up communities). This role also serves as a Host for key Founderie activities (online and in-person) to strengthen the innovation culture for participants. From overall logistics, to programming and coordinating speakers, creating unique experiences, and supporting our intrapreneurs you will coordinate events that deliver on FCAT's mission to ignite emerging ideas and propel Fidelity into the future! FCAT is developing an innovative intrapreneurship capability called "Founderie" focused on incubating and progressing innovative future-focused ideas that are inspired by emerging technologies and societal advancements.

Borrowing from Startup Accelerator standards combined with a human-centered design approach, the Founderie is a founder-driven Accelerator that supports proposition development and capability acceleration through to pitch.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a passionate, entrepreneurial, and versatile team that explore ideas from their earliest inception phase through to proof of concepts and ultimately launch MVP.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
3+ years experience as a marketing/communications/social media professional: content creation, creative storytelling, videography and/or social media
Create the strategy and execution for Founderie content across channels, including websites, yammer, social media, and executive presentations
Collaborative relationship-builder who can drive alignment and help connect Founderie with broader Fidelity partners and resources
Excellent writing skills and proven ability to create content (e.g., infographics, presentations, storyboards, podcasts, videos, social media posts) to drive key messages
Data-driven to provide insights and well-informed recommendations to team members
Passionate about industry/cultural trends; able to communicate sophisticated and/or technical content clearly and concisely
Capable of problem solving and owning outcomes, collaborating across multiple teams and with business partners across all levels of the organization
Conceptualize, plan, and help implement events hosted by Founderie
Bachelors degree, voracious learner with a growth mindset

The Team
The FCAT Founderie team is a highly collaborative multi-disciplinary team that is focused on driving an impactful enterprise-wide program by critically thinking and working across Fidelity to deliver an exciting new portfolio of emerging project ideas for Fidelitys future business and customers.
