Statistician - Part-Time/Remote
Currently seeking a Statistician to work remotely, part-time supporting the budget and accounting team for a federal agency. Ideal candidate will have supported a federal agency in a relevant capacity to financial management matters.
Additional requirements include:
- Candidate should also have working knowledge of GAAP and knowledge of Federal U.S. Standard General Ledger.
- Minimum 5 year of experience supporting a federal agency providing statistical and/or data analysis of financial related data.
- BA/BS degree or higher in Accounting, or business related field.
- Experience with working with Oracle and/or Momentum financial systems is preferred.
- Ability to handle the most complex aspects of applying the principles and theories of statistical analytics to determine the validity of accounting estimates requested and suggestions for improving estimates.
- Ability to research and develop new or revised methodological and analytical statistical approaches to determine the validity of the lookback analysis.
- Ability to apply a variety of statistical techniques such as logistic regression, and generalized risk models, analysis of frequency distributions; analysis and modeling of multivariate; sampling; analysis of variance; determining confidence limits.
- Ability to prepare an explanation of the methodologies, results, and relevance of issues and problems under study.

Pay: $85.00 - $95.00 per hour
