Position Overview: The Strategic Raw Materials Purchasing Analyst position is responsible for supporting purchasing of raw materials including tungsten raw materials and other materials as assigned. The successful candidate will work with the strategic raw materials team on expanding the supply of raw materials as well as managing all facets of purchasing for raw materials for GTP Towanda and other assigned commodities and services. In addition, the candidate will be the liaison between logistics, planning, general purchasing, and production in Towanda as well as other facilities within the GTP Business Division.

Responsibilities Would Include:

• Issue and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders for goods and services in a timely manner.
• Track deliveries, arrange for payments, perform supplier reviews, understand analytical reports, etc.
• The ideal candidate will have knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures in the procurement field.
• Assist in conforming to ISO & conflict mineral audits and compliance
• Willingness to work with suppliers and colleagues in different time-zones (e.g. participate in early morning meetings)
• Must be able and willing to travel periodically (domestic and international).
• Ability to be able to interpret Inco Terms, supply agreements, price lists, catalogs, requisitions, vendor quotes and invoices.
• Ability to develop reports with SAP, Microsoft Tools and other systems
• Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally to vendors and employees of the organization.
• Strong competency for customer service.
• Ability to calculate and interpret payment terms, discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree required (preferably Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Marketing) or at least 5 years of related experience in a related position .

Additional Requirements:

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Searches. SAP experience preferred.
• Experience working in a manufacturing facility is a plus.
• Detailed oriented, organized and the ability to handle multiple projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $30.04 per hour
