Job Title: Student Success Services Advisor

Summary:
Works under the supervision and reports to the Campus President. The primary responsibilities of this role is to coordinate lead the charge and serve as the primary facilitator for the reentry process; initiatives to support student success, persistence and retention.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary driver and point of contact for the reentry process; monitor and track potential reentries; lead engagement and reentry outreach initiatives; be the process and barrier remover expert on the campus; responsible for meeting re-entry budgets.
  • Actively assist in the resolution of student retention issues and implement targeted interventions to support student success.
  • Participates in orientation and follow-up with new students. Delivers all make-up new student orientation and reentry orientation sessions.
  • Develop and maintain a bank of student support resources such as referrals to childcare, transportation, part- time jobs.
  • Develop relationships and contacts with organizations within the community that can assist students in need of assistance to stay in school (financial, bills, rent, housing, shelters, transitional services, counseling, mental and health services). Coordinate visits to the campus to educate students on the services they provide.
  • Participates and helps coordinate student withdraw or save meetings, re-entry meetings and student success meetings.
  • Regularly reports on students at risk of withdrawing and efforts to assist with the transition from enrollment to active student.
  • Insures follow up actions based on student survey results, withdrawal data, and other sources of information to get at root causes for student withdrawals prior to completion and drive improvements in student satisfaction and retention.
  • Responsible for student activities/events such as Welcome Weeks and Student Appreciation.
  • Assist with daily follow up on absent students.
  • Meet students in person to provide information regarding resources such as student portal, LIRN library, and tutoring.
  • Oversees and provides direction for Student Mentors, Student Ambassadors and Student Clubs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
Postsecondary certificate or higher degree is preferred.
