Summary

Currently there are approximately 2,000 Local Area Networks (LAN) installed worldwide throughout SSAnet. Within this architecture, the Division of Client/Server Infrastructure (DCSI) supports all standard and special configurations. These services include Enterprise Network Services, BIND Domain Name Service, Cloud Infrastructure, Enterprise Hardware and Software Monitoring Solutions, Server Hardware and Software Support to include legacy and future Microsoft server OSs, Red Hat Linux server OSs, Virtual Private Networking (VPN) and Authentication and Directory Services. In providing these services to SSA’s enterprise, DCSI also supports the integration, development testing, and production lifecycles of these services as well.

Job Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server software (including all currently supported by Microsoft)
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot all aspects of Active Directory such as AD DNS, Group Policy Objects, Organizational Unit Structures, network-level integration, security implementation, and various support tools.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot all aspects of networking services such as DHCP, WINS, KMS, and AD Sync services.
• Configure and troubleshoot server hardware related to the operation of SSA’s enterprise infrastructures.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot multiple network service environments to include labs, development, integration, and production.

• Manage static and dynamic BIND DNS zones using any appropriate UNIX editor.
• Use basic UNIX navigation skills (cd, ls, cat, find, grep, su, etc.) to perform DNS functions and locate data records to resolve old or stale DNS information.
• Maintain DNS records for the SSA network, managing over 100,000 hosts.
• Develop/maintain scripts (including but not limited to Shell/Perl) to automate daily record cleanup, backups, and Red Hat Linux and UNIX administration tasks.

• Provision, configure, and deploy VPN connectivity to SSA’s client systems. Assist customers with troubleshooting issues on IPSec / SSL VPN tunnels using Cisco VPN Client.
• Troubleshoot implemented VPN solution end-to-end. This includes standard data encryption methods (3DES/AES/SHA/FIPS)
• Support the laptop VPN configuration including encryption software and data at rest technologies.
• Support Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) as it pertains to SSA’s VPN solution.
