Starting Pay Range -
SUDPT Credentialed - $19.72 - $21.68
SUDP Credentialed - $221.38 – $23.49

We are seeking a SUD Substance Usage Disorder Counselor to join our team. The successful candidate will have a SUDPT or SUDP Certification from the State of Washington and an Associates of Arts degree or higher specializing in Chemical Dependency Studies or currently working towards degree.

Summary:

To clinically manage community members in the field. To educate about chemically dependency and explore barriers to recovery. Facilitate assessments, education process, and one on one counseling for addiction treatment. To approach community members with an open, harm-reduction approach to managing substance use disorders.


Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical services to include chemical dependency assessment, treatment planning, individual and/or group therapy to clients in the community.
  • Provide crisis intervention services to clients as necessary.
  • Establish appropriate and therapeutic relationships with clients and community members.
  • Maintain all required paperwork/charting requirements as established by agency contracts.
  • Engage in community based services with houseless people.
  • Connect clients to relevant community resources to support client-centered goals around their substance use.

Non-essential Job Functions:

  • Attend staff and planning meetings as scheduled.
  • Maintain communication and cooperative working relationships both within the agency and community at large.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Education, Licensing and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Health preferred
  • SUDPT or SUDP license
  • Experience with SPMI population, SUD, and community outreach preferred
  • Current, valid, and active driver’s license.
