In this role you will focus on tactical or operational management with both long and short-range assignments related to potable water meter maintenance. Job Description:
- Supervise a work team or teams and is responsible for work schedules, training, performance, team goals, coaching and counseling and assisting higher level management
- Oversee/monitor assigned operations
- Provide input and help manage work unit budget
- Prepare and present activity reports and technical information
- Present to internal/external groups, interpret policies and procedures, participate in hiring process, conducts performance reviews, handles employee relations issues
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. -3:30 p.m.
About You
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- OR Two (2) year Associate's degree may be required with two (2) years of experience
- OR- minimum of High School Diploma and four (4) years related experience
- Minimum of one-year supervisory experience is required (lead worker or acting in a supervisory capacity may be counted)
- Must be able to obtain within six (6) months from date of hire and maintain a Valid State of Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class "A" with Tanker "N" endorsement
- Valid state driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business management, public administration, or related field
- Florida Department Environmental Protection (FDEP):Water Distribution License
- TREEO Backflow Prevention certification.
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.
