Job Overview
The job of the Supervisor of Building Managers is to supervise, oversee, and monitor all Building
Managers and help with the oversight of the Student Life Center.

Graduate Assistant of Recreational Sports for Facilities and Marketing
Job Duties
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, and supervising Building Managers.
  • Assist with conducting student employee meetings.
  • Sit in on disciplinary meetings with Building Managers, as needed.
  • Assist in the training of new student employees using the training guide provided, if needed.
  • Conduct weekly check-ins of Building Managers on a rotating-basis.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with Building Managers focused on job related topics such as customer service, skill building, emergency response, etc.
  • Lead in the implementation of the risk management plan scenarios/evaluations.
  • Develop and complete Building Manager evaluations each semester.
  • Assist in developing and adapting department policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are being enforced by all Building Managers.
  • Aid in finding coverage with Building Managers and when needed, providing coverage.
  • Serve as the head liaison in the Building Manager GroupMe.
  • Assist in content creation for the Recreational Sports social media accounts.
  • Ensure certification compliance for all Building Managers.
  • Assist and attend one-day events, conferences, and retreats.
  • Collaborate with other student supervisors on civic engagement activities and fundraising programs.
  • Serve as a mentor to all Building Managers.
  • Attend weekly meetings with Assistant Director of Recreational Sports for Facilities and Aquatics and/or Graduate Assistant for Facilities, Aquatics and Marketing.
  • Required to work a minimum of two shifts per week as a Building Manager.


Days/Hours Needed
Weekday Hours: 6:00 a.m. – Midnight
Weekend Hours: 7:00 a.m. – Midnight

  • To be considered for this position, it is preferred that applicants have worked a minimum of 1 semester as a Building Manager in the Recreational Sports Program.
  • Must hold certification in CPR/AED/First Aid or be willing to become certified within 30 days of hire.
