Summary:
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers performing upholstery functions of padding, covering and trimming of seating products.
Direct Hire: First Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00am to 3:30
Salary range $55 + DOE

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers performing upholstery functions of padding, covering and trimming of seating products.

Responsibilities of Supervisor:
- Ensure work in the upholstery department is being accomplished to order specifications.
- Manage manpower and materials and communicate with other departments to ensure production timetable is met.
- Recommend and implement process improvements as needed to reduce production time.
- Apply inventory controls, and Coordinate with Project Planner and Purchasing to ensure materials for each project are available when needed.
- Interpret drawings, sketches, engineering documents, and work orders to determine upholstery methods, style, and design of booths.
- Inspect finished goods.
Requirements of Supervisor:
- Able to use measuring devices and preform basic math.
- Minimum 2-years experience in commercial upholstery environment.
- Understanding of commercial upholstery terms and methods.
- Understanding of inventory methods.
