SUMMARY OF POSITION

This position is responsible for developing and deploying planning and inventory strategies and managing execution, to meet business targets for service, cost, and working capital. The first year will include a special focus on reducing slow-moving & obsolete inventory.

• Lead Supply Chain Team Planning Team of 5 direct reports and direct site-based MRP Planners via dotted-line reporting relationship.
• Drive consistent and effective MRP strategies and execution across all North American production locations. Implement new tools, processes, and metrics, as needed.
• Manage regional inventory, to achieve regional targets for Customer service level, inventory level, and inventory health.
• Lead project to make a significant reduction in non-conforming and slow-moving inventory.
• Manage current demand and supply planning processes. Implement Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) in collaboration with the global S&OP Team. Once established, run the process(es) for North America.
• Lead Supply Chain Network design and optimization projects to optimize customer cost and service time.

Job Responsibilities/Activities

• Lead Supply Chain Team Planning Team of 5 direct reports and direct site-based MRP Planners via dotted-line reporting relationship.
• Drive consistent and effective MRP strategies and execution across all North American production locations. Implement new tools, processes, and metrics, as needed.
• Lead a cross-functional project team to make a significant and rapid reduction in non-conforming and slow moving inventory. Maximize recovery of value of non-conforming inventory. Determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Manage regional inventory (raw materials, finished products, intermediates and packaging) for production sites, warehouses, contract manufacturers, consignment locations, to achieve regional targets for Customer service, inventory level and inventory health. Define regional service level targets.
• Manage current demand and supply planning processes. Implement Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) in collaboration with the global S&OP Team. Once established, run the process(es) for North America. Manage allocations of raw material in collaboration with Procurement Team and Commercial Teams.
• Lead Supply Chain Network design and optimization projects to optimize cost and service time to Customers. This includes optimal production locations and 3rd party warehouse network.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred
• Knowledge of supply chain management, S&OP, ERP process management
• APICS and SIX SIGMA certifications desired

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Position holder has minimum 10 years of proven experience in supply chain management, planning, inventory management, MRP, and production scheduling.
• The position holder has international industrial experience in implementing supply chain processes and projects.
