Supply Chain Sourcing Specialist Job at Watts Water Technologies
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Analyze spend data, support various assigned commodity strategies to help achieve year-over-year productivity savings as established by Management.
- Tactical sourcing support for multiple commodity leaders and supplier quality engineers
- Support various supplier negotiations and misc. sourcing projects across commodities globally
- Work with the Global Commodity teams as assigned to identify viable world-class suppliers that can deliver appropriate supply chain solutions.
- While working with the commodity leaders, develop strong understanding of WATTS product portfolio and how components are manufactured, sourced and purchased
- Provide backup support to Sourcing Business Analysts and provide support on the development, standardization and delivery of a wide range of data, reports and analytics.
- Help develop, validate, and communicate business data, monthly results and supplier performance data to commodity leaders and support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
- Communicate activities, updates, project status and misc. data effectively with commodity leaders, supplier quality engineers and sourcing analysts
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree required (Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred).
MANAGEMENT:
This position does not have any direct reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least one year of experience in supply chain, purchasing & sourcing with a baseline understanding, credibility, and comfort to work with commodity leaders, supplier quality engineers and data analysts
- Limited experience in metals (stainless steel, copper, etc.), resins, plastics, packaging and MRO is preferred.
- Understanding of strategic sourcing strategies in China and Europe is preferred.
- A history managing direct spend and establishing measurable improvements in year-over-year savings.
- Strong technical and analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Successful with driving results from a Project Management role within a manufacturing organization embracing a Lean/Six Sigma transformation.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems as related to Purchasing.
- Ability to travel 40%-60%

- Work in office environment (3 Days in office, 2 Days Remote)
- May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the manufacturing setting.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
