The Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing server infrastructure in a Microsoft Active Directory environment with administration experience in server 2003/2008 architecture. The Systems Administrator will configure and manage these environments to ensure the smooth and reliable operation in order to meet business objectives and processes.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Manage and/or perform the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of the Bank's Microsoft Active Directory environment.
  • Installation and administration of server-based production systems as it applies to internal projects.
  • Review of server infrastructure, including taking proactive measures to ensure continued stability and assist in the development and /or revision of server-based standards, guidelines and policies as determined by internal stake holders.
  • Maintain reliable vendor management with outside support organizations in the maintenance and service of LAN equipment and accessories.
  • Maintain accurate and current documentation of LAN installation settings, specifications, and floor plans. Keep daily and problem logs and filing periodic status reports.
  • Provide support and management of local area network in a Microsoft Active Directory environment.
  • Implement and maintain backup systems to ensure the ability to recover loss data with minimum disruption to production environment.
  • Regular maintenance of LAN infrastructure, overseeing enhancements and upgrades to server and bank applications.
Requirements:
Required Skills:
  • The ability to configure and manage Antivirus protection using Symantec suite of products.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft patch distribution technology with the ability to administer updates upon release.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Required Experience:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from 2 year college or technical school.
  • 2 years plus related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Microsoft Certificates in 2003/2008 preferred.
