Systems Engineer

General Description

Function as a Systems Engineer to support various aviation system programs for a U.S. Government Product Office. Provide engineering management, solutions, budget, and schedule for different aviation related systems and products. Participate in Army's Cross Functional Team Integrated Process Team, providing insight into the products, and provide technical, budgetary, and schedule information. Develop Engineering Change Proposals and Modification Work Orders for major efforts. Worked as a team conducting events and providing information flow with multiple government organizations and businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer for the Multi-platform Anti-jam GPS Navigation Antenna (MAGNA), including events such as Production Line Verification and Physical Configuration Audit
  • Develop Engineering Change Proposals including developing technical solution as well as updating Tech Data Package, Training Work Packages, Tech Manual updates, generating the Engineering Change Proposal and conducting a configuration control board to accept the Engineering Change Proposal
  • Conduct efforts in developing the Modification Work Order packages for updating the systems to reflect the Technical Data Packages including validation and verification of the Modification Work Orders and working with units to incorporate the Modification Work Order at depot and field level.
  • Lead efforts in moving product into full rate production.
  • Work with the Manufacturer on any production issues

Requirements

  • Current Secret Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or similar degree with 3 years’ experience in a related field; or Masters in Engineering with 1 years’ experience in a related field
  • Experience with air support systems for aviation programs
  • Experience with model based systems engineering
  • Experience with DoD 5000, and Army acquisition process
  • Must be able to render concise reports, summaries, and formal oral presentations to management.
  • The candidate must have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and be able to work well with supervisors, customers, and co-workers.
  • Must be able to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.
