Position Overview

The Area Development Manager is a leadership position responsible for strategic planning and urgent execution for underperforming parts of our retail business.

Key Responsibilities

Training, developing and motivating our top talent in order to maximize key performance metrics in a designated territory:

  • Assisting local leadership in building top notch results for all locations by targeting underperformers and help them grow.
  • Being the role model for leadership in all aspects the job and demonstrating a professional, high-performing, ethical image
  • Use all tools to identify performance opportunities and then strategically build a plan
  • Personal Leadership: Always lead by example
  • Product Expertise: Maintain thorough knowledge of current competitive landscape and be the agent of change
  • Must be able to be a creative problem solver
  • Communicate up and down the chain of command to make everyone comfortable with plans that are developed
  • Partner Relationships: Build strong relationships with #CS leadership
  • Organization and follow up is a must on all plans.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to sell personally and teach others how to sell
  • Verbal, written and face to face communication skills
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to develop future leaders

Required Experience and Education

  • High school education required. University degree is an asset.
  • Supervisory or management experience of sales team is required, multi-unit management experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated record of achievement is prior sales position is required.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Enthusiasm for retail and wireless technology and products is required.
