POSITION SUMMARY

A Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and interviewing prospective candidates to find the perfect match for a company's long-term goals. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator knows the important role people play in moving business forward. This role is the candidate's first contact with Harmon Scrap Metal and must embody Harmon Scrap Metal’s core values.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

  • Recruit talent aligned with the Mission, Vision, and Values of our business
  • Coordinating with hiring managers to identify staffing needs.
  • Manage all Applicant Tracking Systems activity
  • Facilitate interview scheduling process - contact candidates to determine availability, coordinate interview times with hiring decision makers and applicant, and send links to all meetings
  • Post new positions in the Applicant Tracking system
  • Facilitate recruitment schedule using strong written/verbal communication skills with a complete focus on preserving quality
  • Completing all steps of the hiring process, including drug screens and background checks
  • Plans and participates in hiring events
  • Plans and facilitates employee cultural engagement events
  • Attend and participate in internal meetings and complete required training
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Success selecting and evaluating team members with a focus on building relationships
  • Experience successfully maintaining a positive attitude while working in a team environment with competing priorities
  • Embodies a high level of business literacy regarding performance, vision, goals, culture and leadership
  • Highly detail oriented
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with individual interactions with team members
  • Strong computer skills and highly proficient in MS Office Suite, Windows, Google Suite, Paylocity
  • Ability to think critically, in the assessment of materials that will help team understand new concepts and procedures
  • Outstanding organization and administrative accountability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think individually as well as collaboratively when approaching personnel issues
  • Ability to read, interpret, and create documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and written correspondence
  • Proven ability to assist HR Manager with employee relations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • At least 2 years of relevant work in Human Resources or related field
  • Knowledge of federal and state-specific regulations related to Human Resources compliance

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related area of study preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods on uneven surfaces
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to spend prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer
