Mengali Accountancy, a successful, progressive, values-driven accounting firm located in beautiful downtown Healdsburg, CA, provides accounting and tax services for many diverse, complex and dynamic companies. Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a highly motivated team player with 1 - 3 years of recent public accounting tax experience to prepare returns for primarily multi-family and commercial real estate clients.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare complex partnership tax returns, focusing primarily on multi-tier real estate holding entities
• Manage assigned tax engagements including deadlines and schedules
• Develop and cultivate professional client relationships

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• CPA license or CPA eligible required
• 1 - 3 years of recent public accounting tax experience progressing in scope and responsibility
• Well versed in tax code and complex tax concepts with an understanding of debits and credits
• Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and client service skills
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and UltraTax.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
• Real estate industry experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Trust tax returns is a plus.
• California State tax experience also a plus, but not required
