Teacher Aide Job at Family Guidance Centers, Inc.
Essential Duties:
- To assist during arrival and dismissal of students
- To assist teacher in maintaining classroom and school rules
- To attend all scheduled meetings
- To actively participate and give feedback during meetings.
- To assist teacher with the various tasks: Xeroxing, grading student assignments , documenting behaviors on point sheets, tallying % on point sheets.
- To participate in weekly planning
- To assist students both academically and socially
- To assist teacher when implementing individual, small group and large group lessons
- To assist teacher in maintaining and upkeep an inventory of classroom materials
- To assist with planning and chaperone school field trips and level events
- To assist staff in crisis intervention and physical management
- To help maintain milieu management when no students are in class
- To adhere to and support the philosophy of Metro Prep and Laureate Day School
- To perform duties as assigned by the principal, assistant principal or coordinators
Regular School Year Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00a - 3:30p)
Summer School Session: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri (8:00a - 12:30p) ; Wed (8:00a - 3:30p)
