- Title: Teacher Aide
Qualifications:
- Effective communication and problem solving skills.
- Ability to problem solve in a fast paced work environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff in an educational setting.
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Qualified to be employed as a teacher aide per Civil Service and NYS Education Department guidelines.
- Ability to bend, kneel, sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and maneuver children and general classroom supplies.
Responsibilities: Shall include but are not limited to the following:
- Attend meetings as needed
- Follow directives (written, oral, electronic)
- Regular use of school email
- General Teacher Aide assignments
- Support Students with Special Education services.
- 1:1 Student Support
- Assistive Technology
- Attendance
- Data Collection
- Feeding or assistance feeding
- General Clerical Assignments
- General Education classroom aide support
- General Supervision – Arrival, Dismissal, Playground, Cafeteria, Transition Times
- General Student Assistance
- Lamination
- Lifting – Unassisted and assisted for school aged children with little ability to manipulate themselves.
- Program Aide for specialized services (12:1:1, 12:1:3, 15:1:1, 8:1:1)
- Sensory Breaks
- Test Accommodations
- Material modifications
- Personal Hygiene and/or toiletry
- Maintain Data Security as applicable.
- Maintain confidentiality with staff, student and family information
- Operate in a respectful, responsible manner
Reports to: Building Level Administration
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $14.17 per hour

- Monday to Friday

- Victor, NY: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
