SCHOOL DESIGN OVERVIEW:
Adventure Elementary is a PK-6 dual-language school that provides the unique educational combination of a dual language learning environment (English and Spanish) with a strong Expeditionary Learning (EL) Education framework. Students are supported throughout the entire school day in becoming bilingual and bi-literate in English and Spanish, regardless of their native language. The goals of Adventure’s dual language immersion program are to maximize students’ Spanish and English language proficiency, provide a rich academic environment in both languages, offer a rich culturally diverse experience, and develop students’ abilities to work and live successfully in multiple cultural settings. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid and current Colorado teaching license with an appropriate CLD endorsement
- Additional endorsement in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education preferred, *or willingness to pursue endorsement or equivalent coursework. *
- Preferred background with Education Technology and knowledge of Canvas
- Required to report to Administration building M-F.
- Someone who is motivated, flexible, dedicated, organized and creative.
- Ability to work with multi-age groups.
- Fully participate in the planning and implementation of this model through a building wide collaborative effort.
- Take leadership in development of school structures and programs to support the model.
- Must possess a “we” attitude and be a “positive” contributor to the overall climate and culture of a new emerging school.
- Other duties as assigned/necessary.
