Description:

Assist the Senior Move Manager in completing a successful relocation by providing a variety of services. The goal is to exceed customer satisfaction through effective advocacy and interaction with customers and other service vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for having the necessary equipment on the job (tape dispenser, markers, box knife, etc.); report loss and request new equipment.
• Support the Senior Move Manager in delivery of supplies for the job (boxes, paper, bubble, etc.)
• Load and unload vehicles.
• Work in the client's home under the direction of the Senior Move Manager or designated staff person.
• Keep well-informed of the details of the service plan, timelines for specific services, and customer needs.
• Follow departmental procedures and government regulations when performing duties and responsibilities.
• Assist the Senior Move Manager to provide successful Senior Move Management Services.
• Assist in all facets of Senior Move Management Services as required (i.e., packing, unpacking, sorting, and organizing personal items).
• Is respectful of customer's possessions and home environment.
• Ensure a safe and efficient service for client and all other staff involved.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• The team member is subject to walking and standing for prolonged periods of time; frequently stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls, pushes, pulls, grasps, and feels.
• The team member is required to have corrected visions and hearing within normal range.
• The team member must continuously lift, support, and/or move up to 25 pounds in difficult work positions of weight.
• The noise level is normal to loud.
• Works in the field, in customer's residential environment.
• Occasional occupational exposure to blood, body fluids, communicable diseases or other potentially infectious substances (Category 1).

Education & Experience:

• Work experience in residential environment preferred
• Basic knowledge of moving experience is a plus
• Must be able to read, comprehend and write legibly in English
• Must be able to verbally communicate information to customers and other employees
• Requires dependable, personal transportation and must be willing to travel within the Chicago Metro area
• Work schedule may include working days, evenings, weekend, and holidays
