Summary

Calling all coaches! The Team Manager provides hands-on leadership to a team of Case Managers, Replacement Technicians and Policy Support personnel, whose primary responsibility is to review and process life insurance policy applications. The position is also a Key Account Manager for the team’s designated distributions partners and is involved in strategic initiatives that assist driving the success of overall department. Key Responsibilities

• Providing team leadership that enables winning the business of our valued distribution partners
• Providing our distribution partners with the most efficient, productive, and satisfying life insurance placement experience possible
• Adjudicating policy application conflicts and appeals
• Personnel management, including team and individual performance (goals, metrics, individual development plans, and general performance management) and individual workload management
• Team management, including team workload and capacity management, and team performance and metrics (such as cycle time, placement rate, and persistency)
• Participating in distribution and enterprise-wide team initiatives

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Experience in the life and annuity industry preferred; solid understanding of distribution, marketing, or operations required
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with strengths in building effective teams as well as developing and inspiring direct reports
• Exceptional customer focus, with a keen appreciation for the needs and interests of our distribution partners
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong collaboration skills
• Ability to meet established deadlines
• Commitment to continuous improvement
• Ability to successfully pass a background check that may include fingerprinting

This position is available at either our Montpelier, Vermont or Addison Texas campus. We do a hybrid model and are onsite three days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays).

The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual bonus, quarterly bonuses, commissions, and other long-term incentive compensation, depending on the position.
