Job Description

This position is responsible for managing Accounts in the Brewing and Distilling Industry as part of the Health and Biosciences Platform of IFF (International Flavors & Fragrances). The selected candidate will be responsible for executing the business strategy, providing a high level of service, and driving new opportunities by leveraging our industry leading technology and innovation. An Technical Account Manager is expected to collaborate with all internal departments within IFF to help Business Units and the customer achieve their goals.

Main Responsibilities:

• Achieve sales revenue and gross profit targets for the Food Enzymes business unit.
• Build project pipeline to sustain growth targets.
• Manage all aspects of the selling cycle.
• Manage and build relationships with existing customer while prospecting for potential new opportunities within the Brewing & Distilling industry. .
• Work closely with demand planning, providing monthly forecast guidance.
• Update opportunities in SalesForce as they progress.

Job Qualifications:

• Demonstrated success in value-added ingredient sales.

• Sales and/or tech service in the Brewing and Distilling Industry preferred.
• Ability to travel 40% of the time.
• Food Science or Chemical Engineering degree.

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role:

• You are a professional with a technical background, holding a degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• You demonstrate a passion for the brewing and distilling industry and have a solid practical understanding of fermented drinks.
• You have at least 3+ years of sales and/or account management experience with the demonstrated ability to facilitate organic customer growth.
• You collaborate with others and perform well in cross-functional teams.
• You are self-motivated and like to be challenged while working for a dynamic organization.
• You have strong organizational skills.
• You hold yourself accountable and are always motivated to improve.
• You possess good negotiation skills, both internally and externally.

• You will be reporting to the North America Regional Industry Leader for Food Enzymes.

You will be reporting to the North America Regional Industry Leader for Food Enzymes and support/work closely with the Senior Application Specialist Brewing and Distilling. You will directly manage regional accounts, promoting IFF enzymes. You will be supported by the various groups across the business including Communications, Marketing, Product Management, Applications, R&D, Operations, and Finance to achieve a common goal.
