TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE I, Brain and Cognitive Sciences-Seethapathi Lab, to perform a variety of human subject experiments—according to mutually agreed upon timelines-in motor control utilizing kinematic, kinetic, video, and muscle EMG measurements; and implement the necessary post-processing steps to clean, improve, and test the accuracy of the datasets created. Will perform the following and similar documentation, record-keeping, and maintenance steps: document protocols, results, and methodologies in lab shared repositories; neatly maintain equipment and supplies, informing the supervisor of any supplies that need to be purchased in a timely manner; train other lab members in experimental and organizational procedures; conduct literature searches and assist with writing manuscripts; create training datasets of labels for automatic video labeling pipelines; learn to use data science software engineering tools and maintain documentation for the same; and participate actively in laboratory group discussions.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, physical therapy or occupational therapy, or psychology; two years of experience; analytical, computational, and mathematical skills for conducting basic human subject movement experiments and analyses; and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. The position will involve traveling (less than four weeks a month) to conduct experiments in collaborator laboratories and to attend conferences.
