TASK DESCRIPTION: Technical Directive Coordinator:

13-1081 Logisticians

Analyze and coordinate the ongoing logistical functions of a firm or organization. Responsible for the entire life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources.


The Technical Directive Coordinator performs a wide variety of tasks in support of organizational level (O-Level) and Intermediate Level (I-Level) inspection and maintenance on the F/A-18 aircraft of MAG-31 as assigned to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadrons (MALS)-31. Functions as a Subject Matter Expert for F/A-18 aircraft maintenance, technical manuals, tooling, processes, support equipment and any special tools required. Ability to prioritize, multi-task and communicate with company and customer leadership, peers and all levels of personnel within and outside the company. Consultant to aircraft quality assurance inspectors at the site to ensure standards are met during aircraft modifications. Knowledgeable of contractual deliverables along with company and customer processes, policies and procedures. Strong computer skills with the ability to direct data collection, research, analyze and present in formats that make impact and are easily understood.


Task Requirements:


  • Hold Maintenance Program Manager and collateral duty positions that are outlined in the NAMP and NAVAIRINST 3710.1G to maintain and sustain applicable maintenance programs for inspection.
  • Acquire appropriate Special Maintenance Qualifications (SMQ) to initiate MAF/WO and complete maintenance action within Squadron NALCOMIS OOMA.
  • Directly responsible and accountable to Site Manager for quality management of all Technical Directive Coordinator functions.
  • Performs duties as primary interface with Site Management and MALS-31 Program Office and submits required final revisions of policies, procedures and technical papers accordingly.
  • Provides local consult to Quality Department during aircraft modifications.
  • Audits site policies and procedures to ensure compliance with QMS, safety and training requirements.
  • Conducts Initial and Recurring review of site and MALS-31 policies and procedures.
  • Documents changes performed on appropriate forms, electronic database and definitive sheets, as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Six (6) or more years’ F/A-18 aircraft experience
  • Ten (10) or more years’ aviation maintenance experience.
  • Six (6) or more years’ experience in a management/supervisory position.
  • Maintenance Controller for four (4) or more years with previous documented “Safe for Flight” authority.
  • Seven (7) or more years’ experience with NALCOMIS/OOMA

Basic Qualifications:


  • Must have six (6) years Aviation Maintenance Experience with four (4) years F/A-18 Experience
  • Must be U.S. citizen(s) to ensure access to flight line work spaces and critical information systems
  • Must be intimately familiar with TD coordination, NALCOMIS OOMA, and naval message traffic format and function.
  • Shall possess a SECRET clearance
  • Must have previous maintenance control experience.
  • Must be able to work shift schedules as required per Performance Work Statement (PWS)
  • Must be able work work-week schedules i.e. M-F, Sn-Th or as required per PWS

Compensation

$70,000 to $76,000/year

Employees will receive a health and welfare fringe benefit.

Employment is contingent on (a) your ability to provide appropriate proof of your identity and eligibility to work in the United States; (b) your references and any background check being satisfactory to the Company; (c) you successfully passing a pre-employment drug test; and (d) your ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed; and (e) KAI commencing performance on this contract.
