Job Summary

This is a mid-level business intelligence & systems support position with Wag Hotels, Inc. This position will receive work lead direction from the manager and be primarily responsible for building & maintaining reports, regular data compilation from various sources, relevant data-driven insights, end-user technical and process support, and translating between business and technical requirements.

Role and Responsibilities

Under direction from the position’s manager, the selected applicant will perform the following key functions (other functions may be introduced at the direction of the manager):

• Create and manage reports within BI software and/or using custom SQL queries/functionality.
• Responsible for operating, maintaining, reporting and optimizing data, information systems and key operations application(s) to meet the Company’s needs.
• Report common patterns, questions, and other issues to management.
• Assess company performance, information, and plans by conducting regular tests and analysis.
• Monitor company systems status and report any progress or changes.
• Research and estimate the costs of upgrades and improvements.
• Establish specifications for new projects by engaging with key stakeholders and developing project goals, phases, and budgets.
• Provide support, analysis and reporting on different aspects of data and information.
• Create and present reports to executive team members and shareholders to support recommendations.
• Oversee implementation projects from beginning to end.
• Recommend solutions for improving and restructuring company procedures.
• Use a variety of data analysis and organization tools to discover the most impactful insights.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Must have experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science MIS or similar field
• Reviewing and gathering data, finding patterns, anomalies and communicating those findings
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and strong Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with BI tools (I.E. Zoho, Tableau, etc.)
• Ability to write, analyze, and develop SQL code in an intermediate to advanced level
• Ability to design intuitive and simple visual reports for both management and daily users.
• Interest in both project management and technical work
• Must be comfortable working with new software platforms and learning existing hotel management platforms.

Preferred Skills

• Any combination of education in business, statistics, mathematics, or work experience that will provide a basis for the skillsets necessary for this position.
• Knowledge of process to document requirements and new processes and procedures
• Knowledge of System Development Lifecycle
• Ability to analyze technical content and communicate the intent to non-technical audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot workflows.
• Ability to take initiative and work autonomously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, independent analysis, and decision-making skills to help solve problems and give solutions clearly and professionally.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Additional Notes

This position is primarily in the office while sitting at a desk. Occasional travel may be necessary to visit off-site locations but very rarely.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
