WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: Technician 1
The Technician 1 will coordinate with supervision, perform field and laboratory quality control testing of various construction materials. Perform a variety of field and lab tests per AET QA Procedures, maintaining a high level of quality and safety. The services provided within the company are performed to the standards of our industry including ASTM, ASIC, and ACI as well as state laws governing professional services. All services will be performed in accordance with AET's QA/QC procedures.
Job Responsibilities:

• Performing field and laboratory testing of concrete, soils, aggregates, bituminous and masonry products.

• Perform other laboratory test and calibrations as directed.

• Observe excavations and correlate the observations with soil boring logs.

• Ability read and understand plans and specifications.

• Prepare and report test results for field and laboratory work.

• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, contractors, and/or ready-mix suppliers.

• Maintain AET’s productivity standards.

• Must provide quality of service and work product that meets or exceeds AET’s expectations.

• Must have skills including tact, diplomacy, and flexibility to work effectively with coworkers and clients.

The Technician 1 position requires field work in outdoor conditions at construction sites with rough terrain
and in adverse weather conditions.
Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Maintain valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to develop and implement creative/innovative solutions to a wide range of problems.

• Ability to use personal computer software, especially Microsoft Office.

• Ability to interact successfully with a wide variety of people.

• Work effectively within project teams.

• Resolve issues and problems in a constructive manner, and work independently in the field.

• Effective communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
