Technician 1st 6 Mos - Silverthorne, CO Job at Xcel Energy
Takes routine customer requests, performs designs and estimates for new gas/electric distribution facilities. These may range from residential re-wires to those that support larger projects and designs. Also performs various gas and electric distribution support functions for Operations Department.
Receive and process new gas/electric service requests, and associated meter set orders, oversees installation, and coordinates scheduling to meet customer needs. Meets with customers or customer representatives. Provide various distribution support functions such as preparing DOT inspection orders and recordkeeping. Designs, estimates, quotes, prepares contracts and issues orders and prints, initiates permits and easements for streetlights, non-metered services, routine extensions, reroutes and modifications for new and existing gas/electric distribution facilities.
This position will be filled at our service center in Silverthorne, CO.
Minimum Requirements
High School education or equivalent.
Possess a two year technical degree (Drafting, Auto cad, associate engineering, Energy technical specialist, Construction Management, or other related field)

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $35.54 per hour
