Defense contractor involved with product development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles in the Los Angeles International Airport area. With a 50+ year foundation, The Marvin Group supports all branches of the Department of Defense and allies around the globe on an array of programs and platforms. We support many military prime contractors including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.


SCOPE

The Electrical Assembly Technician position will partner and provide support to Electrical assemblers and Ground systems. Furthermore, the position will take lead of electrical installation of Ground systems and ensure training of Electrical assemblers and Ground System assemblers is performed to company standards.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support Electrical assembly, Production manufacturing and Grounds Systems.
  • Assemble wire harnesses, test equipment, and tooling according to verbal and/or written specifications.
  • Be able to use the electrical hand tools and various other hand tools located in the Tool Room.
  • Propose changes in methods of design, manufacturing and assembly, and provide modification suggestions from Assemblers.
  • Maintain good knowledge of current process methods, documentation and procedures.
  • Proactively communicate process problems to management.
  • Support company goals and objectives, policies and procedures.
  • Adapt to sudden schedule changes

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certifications; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of two to four years’ technician experience, Aerospace, Manufacturing or Medical industry preferred.
  • Requires a high school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to work on assignments that are complex in nature in which considerable judgement and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Demonstrates the skills and knowledge required to effectively and efficiently produce wire harnesses using acceptable practices including splicing, soldering and pinning of wiring.
  • Ensures that all work performed is properly and completely documented and ready for inspection
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP software a plus.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
