PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Research Technician I – Innovation Department executes most of the research & development protocol activity which is vital to the success of the company. This position handles sensitive data and comes with a high degree of trust.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• NGS library preparation and sequencing
• PCR and qPCR
• DNA and/or RNA extraction and purification
• Data analysis and presentation
• Training/supply management
• Organize experiment deliverables
• Checklist for all data document for each experiment

Job Qualifications and Education:

• 0 – 3 years NGS experience
• BA/BS or higher in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field
• Experience with PCR and qPCR (mandatory)
• ASCP certification (preferred)
• Highly organized and motivated person, with the enthusiasm necessary to learn and grow with the company

Physical Demands:

This position requires sitting at a desk, standing, bending and extensive use of computer and other work-related electronic devices. Must be able to push, pull, hold files and confer in office spaces. During time of pandemic, this and other roles require the employee to wear a mask over the nose and mouth while on the work premises. Must be able to carry or pick-up items up to 25 pounds at any time. Some travel may be required to carry-out job responsibilities. Employees must keep safety rules and good work practices a priority.
