Hope Valley Country Club is looking to find the next person to join the team. The primary function of the Tennis Shop receptionist is providing first- contact, customer interaction including booking courts, checking in tennis players, selling merchandise, and cleaning and stocking the Tennis Shop. The Tennis Shop Assistant will also be assigned specific, often varying tasks on a day- to-day basis by the Head Professional. It is critical that any Tennis Shop Assistant be able to adapt to meet changing demands and requirements while in the workplace.

• Assist with tennis player check-in and fee collection; control and manage play
• Assist with all opening and closing procedures
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and always maintain a professional image
• Basic knowledge of the game of tennis
• Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees
• Organizational, planning and prioritization skills
• Self-motivated with desire to promote and market our facility
• Service and customer focused attitude
• Basic experience in written and oral business communications

Essential Responsibilities

- Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills.

-Ability to perform critical job tasks, and limit mistakes, under pressure.

- Ability and willingness to present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

- Familiarity with basic computer functions (e.g. operating internet browsers, searching for web pages, Microsoft Office products, good typing ability, etc.).

- Flexible availability, particularly on weekends (both AM and PM).

-When needed and during slow season assist in outside operations including: opening/closing outside cart operations.
