SUMMARY:

The Territory Administrator is responsible for general operations management of a specified territory. Duties include developing, implementing and managing systems, processes and procedures to ensure operational efficiencies while overseeing the budget and administrative services across the territory. This position reports to the Home Office Senior Director of Operations with a dotted line to the Territory Executive. This position is exempt, full-time and is based within the territory.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Core duties and responsibilities, include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • In partnership with the Territory Executive, oversee the development of the territory budget, while maintaining processes for tracking to revenue and expenditure goals.
  • Lead ongoing and annual review of vendor agreements and contracts to ensure efficiency, sustainability and affordability of all external support needs.
  • In partnership with the Home Office Finance and Data and Technology Integration teams, manage procedures and support systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of financial and constituent records.
  • In partnership with the Home Office Operations team, formulate and manage procedures and administrative duties including but not limited to: scheduling, supply management, meeting logistics and technical support, general mail and invoice processing, and phone support.
  • Support the development of presentations and impact reports for the Territory, ensuring the reporting of Territory performance and activities is accurate and timely.
  • Manage the virtual platforms and on-site logistics of territory meetings, symposiums, working retreats, etc.
  • Ensure connectivity of operational management, budget, meeting planning and administrative practices across all departments in the Territory.
  • May manage administrative and data support staff in the territory.
  • Upholds a strict level of confidentiality.
  • Conveys a professional and positive image that reflects favorably on The ALS Association.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job may have some supervisory responsibilities.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or a minimum of seven years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current driver’s license, and proof of insurance. Some travel required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven success in managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Some knowledge of budget administration.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to learn new computer software and/or be trained.
  • Self-starter who can see a need and fill it; able to wear many hats and multi-task.
  • Commitment to the mission of the ALS Association.
  • Team player that can interface with all levels of staff and volunteers. Must develop, maintain, and utilize relationships.
  • Ability to travel as required on Association business.
  • Computer skills required: Expense Management Software; Inventory Software; Microsoft Office 365 & SharePoint; Payroll Systems; Project Management Software; Video Conference Software, preferably proficiency in Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

AY TRANSPARENCY:

The ALS Association’s pay range for this position is $82,000- $86,320 annually.

The ALS Association has compensation ranges for various work locations throughout the United States, allowing us to compensate employees competitively and consistently in diverse geographic markets. The above-listed listed range shows prospective compensation for this role; the appropriate range will be established by what is eventually determined to be the candidate's primary work location. Various factors, including the complexity and significance of the role, job duties/requirements, relevant experience and abilities, and primary work location, determine individual compensation. Compensation ranges are evaluated and typically adjusted on a regular basis. Offers are made within the compensation range that is in effect at the time of the job offer.

The Association may, at its discretion, offer merit-based increases tied to individual performance. The benefits listed may differ depending on employment status with the Association.
