TACG is seeking a Testing Specialist to provide subject matter expertise to support PBES's effective and efficient engagement with functional and mission customers.


This position reports to the Functional Subject Matter Expert and is located in Montgomery, Alabama.


Responsibilities

  • Serve the user administrator for setup and maintaining account
  • Have knowledge of Oracle and IIS Database Administration to include, but not limited to:
  • Provisioning of user accounts including account creation and modification
  • Perform monitoring and tracking to ensure users are provisioned in the correct application (Hyperion, BI, and DRM)
  • Monitor System performance and create file systems
  • Perform software, installs, creating, testing and executing backup and recovery plans for managing installations and test events
  • Testing security controls to support Requirement Management Frame
  • Review STIG's and implement changes based on findings
  • Update system application software (patches and upgrades)
  • Implement the policies for the use of the computer system and network
  • Must have a strong grasp of computer security (e.g. firewalls and intrusion detection systems)
  • Research and provide guidance on industry best practices for the use of various design standards, system performance, system availability and technical solutions to meet client needs
  • Develop and present system architectures and strategies for assigned projects
  • Research, design, and write software to specifications
  • Provide technical and architectural research on assigned technical topics
  • Must hold a DoD approved 8570 baseline certification for acquiring administrator accounts
  • Modify and coordinate the current Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) with the necessary test organizations
  • Prepare test scenarios, cases and script activities by defining step-by-step instructions to effectively evaluate the requirements of spring or major release
  • Help perform independent government Development Test and Evaluation
  • Provide testing of the requirements from end-to-end
  • Manage and execute test activities, problem and deficiency reports, and T&E reporting
  • Participate in all program spring and major releases review meetings
  • Prepare to assist in preparing appropriate T&E documentation including test plans, test scenario, cases, and scripts and other test related documentation
  • Facilitate peer reviews and coordination of final documentation
  • Provide testing support which has increased in the standard environment and in the Cloud simultaneously
  • Assist with classified testing as required

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Four-year degree in Computer Science, Business, Management or related field
    • The criteria for substitution of educational degrees and/or experience are stated below:
      • A Bachelor's degree may substitute for four (4) years of experience. A Master's degree may substitute for two (2) additional years of experience. A Ph.D. degree may substitute for two (2) additional years of experience.
      • Four (4) years of additional related experience may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree; two (2) additional years of related experience with similar functional responsibilities may substitute for a Master's Degree
      • Each Professional Certification related to the field of expertise required is equivalent to two years of specialized and related general experience.
  • Required Knowledge/Experience:
    • Ten (10) years of broad/diverse background in AF/DoD testing
    • Prefer a minimum of five (5) years of PBES background and experience
    • Prefer a minimum of five (5) years of experience working with the US Air Force community (DoD may be acceptable)
  • Security Clearance:
    • Secret

  • Perform other duties as assigned
