is looking for a qualified Therapist to join our Child Welfare team in downtown Tacoma, WA.

Function
:

Provide therapeutic services to children, families, and foster families. Serve as a member of the intensive services team.


Responsibilities
:

  • Complete initial assessment of individual needs, individual safety plans, treatment plan, discharge plan, and other paperwork assigned.
  • Provide individual, group, and family treatment to youth and families.
  • Provide support services, therapeutic services, and crisis intervention to youth and families as indicated.
  • Participate in clinical team meetings, Child and Family team meetings, FTDM consultations, staff meetings, individual and group supervision, Foster Parent trainings and psychiatric consultation as requested.
  • Complete and maintain paperwork, e.g.assessments, treatment plans, discharge summary in a timely manner.
  • Gather information required for outside reports and follow-up as indicated. Provide information to outside providers as required by DCYF, courts and/or legal custodians.
  • Provide treatment services and documentation in compliance with WACs, program contracts, RCW, and agency policies.
  • Initiate treatment review, clinical consultation, and other services necessary for quality assurance in provision of treatment.
  • Share in the on-call status rotation.
  • Maintain productive relationships with DCYF social workers, juvenile court representatives, school staff, and other individual’s necessary for coordination of consumer services.
  • Evaluate need for consultation and training necessary for maintaining and improving clinical skills and effective therapeutic relationships. Actively seek and participate in clinical supervision.
  • Participate in program evaluation.
  • Ensure that ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained.
  • In addition to the above, perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications
:

  • All new hires will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, or related field.
  • Two years relevant experience with emotionally disturbed children and families.
  • WA State credential/license.
  • Valid Washington State driver’s license; proof of insurance.
