Joinery Apprentice

Woodhouse, one of the nation’s leading Timber Frame companies, has an immediate full-time opening for a self-motivated individual with woodworking experience. We are a design and manufacturing company looking for the right candidate who would enjoy working with our close-knit team in Tioga County, PA... (Close to the NY Border)

In this joinery shop apprentice position, you will work within a team that is responsible for quality control of CNC cut timber.

This entry to intermediate level position requires attention to detail, thoroughness, understanding of basic math/geometry, and internal motivation.

Qualifications: (preferred but not required)

• Building or Construction Knowledge
• Hand and Power Tool Experience
• Ability to Read Construction Drawings
• Joinery Knowledge
• Positive Attitude
• Fork Truck Experience
• Must Be Able to Lift 100lbs.

Experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate in all areas necessary to be successful at this position.

Responsibilities:

• Reference Dimensions of CNC Cut Timber from Construction Drawings
• Cutting/Adjusting Timber Joinery
• Assembling Timber Trusses
• Maintain Inventory, Materials, and Supplies
• Shipping and Receiving Material
• General Maintenance/Clean-Up

Salary will be based on experience.

Benefits available for full time employees upon successful completion of 90-day probationary period.
