To-Go Specialist

Summary

The To-Go Specialist position is responsible for coordinating To-Go food business by consistently following processes and procedures to accommodate To-Go orders for guests. This includes taking accurate orders by telephone or in person, organizing food orders, and handing them over to guests. Assembles prepared food, drinks, and condiments in to-go containers to ensure food transport is complete, clean, and safe for guests. Our To Go Specialists thrive on making loyal guests by displaying a strong sense of urgency, extensive menu knowledge (always ready to make a recommendation!), and ensuring all orders are on-time and accurate.

Job Functions

Operations

• Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role.
• Pro-actively greet guests warmly and provide pleasant and comfortable experience.
• Maintain a good understanding of current events to be able to engage with guests in appropriate conversation.
• Communicate effectively with restaurant manager, servers, and host/hostess as appropriate to ensure the guest experience is as enjoyable and effortless as possible.
• Engage guests with a pleasant greeting in accordance with HHG service standards.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner and monitor those actions of others.
• Must be pleasant, hospitable, and attentive to guests always.
• Must be knowledgeable of HHG information to assist guests at any time.
• Relay any guest complaints/comments to Manager.
• Responsible for proper reconciliation of documentation.
• Must complete opening/closing duties (side work).
• Ensure timely and accurate entry of orders into computer system and collection of payment.
• Ensure that quality and details are being maintained daily.
• Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, the To-Go Specialist may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the restaurant.
• Ensure that quality and details are being maintained.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and ensure staff's compliance with all departmental/HH policies and procedures.
• Communicate additions or changes to the assignments as they arise throughout the shift.
• Ensure that work area is stocked with specified tools, supplies and equipment to meet the business demand.

Required Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proven working experience in retail cashier or sales.
• Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Customer service skills

• Sales skills
